Who am I? I am storyteller a heart. I come from a family of teachers, fixers, and givers. Women and men who are known for sharing their knowledge and wisdom any chance they get. I began doing the same thing when I started writing stories and acting in my own home movies as a child. Acting and writing have become my own way of carrying on my family’s legacy. It has become my way of sharing what I observe, learn and understand about the world, myself and my family. I don’t have all the answers, but what I do have is the curiosity to search for them. As an artist, I am interested in the never-ending search of life’s most complicated questions. I am interested in characters that embody the human condition in all its hilarity, absurdity, beauty and uncertainty. Most importantly, I am interested in depicting people of color with this depth, honesty, dignity and nuance, through comedy and drama.
